It won’t happen. It’ll all be over on Feb 6.

Clinton Inc. will certainly be the Democrat nominee, McCain (damn it), the GOP.

I will vote third party.

Why this sudden love affair with the prospect of a brokered convention?

I think it's nostalgia. The reason the conventions get (or used to get) so much TV time is that they probably were interesting to watch before first ballot nominations became de rigueur.

A brokered convention is unlikely because there is no city in America where there could be a smoke filled room.

While McCain may be today's front runner, I doubt he will have the nomination sewed up by the start of the convention. At this point I don't think anyone can seriously predict who will be running for the Republicans.

The Democrat's convention will be very interesting as both Hillary and Obama will come with large blocks of delegates, but not enough to cinch the nomination. I expect there will be a lot of rancor and if the convention looks like a deadlock it well could be some one other than Hillary or Obama may be nominated.
