“The jig is up!”

Um probably not the best phrase to use in a PC America.

What's wrong with fishing?

Only place I ever heard “jig” as the equivalent of the n-word is in the 30’s-styled Eddie Murphy/Richard Pryor gangster flick “Harlem Nights.”

If it wasn’t for the beautiful anti-racist civil-rights people lambasting blacks who’ve left the plantation, the younger generation would never know all those racist insults of yesteryear. Where else does one hear such epithets as “lawn-jockey,” “handkerchief-head,” “house-n****r,” and so on nowadays but from the mouths of the annointed?
