After taking off her underwear in Whole Foods Market in Palo Alto, a middle-aged woman was arrested early Friday. Officers received a call around 8:30 a.m. that a woman was throwing bread and other items in the store, Palo Alto Police Sgt. Natasha Powers said. "She was sitting and screaming," Powers said.

The woman, who refused to identify herself, took off her underwear and might have thrown them at someone, but she did not hit anyone, Powers said. "I know she took them off. I don't know what she did with them after that," Powers said.

The woman was arrested on charges of assault and creating a disturbance and is currently in the San Jose Main Jail, Powers said.

I have started going to local one off shops for my meat, fish and charcuterie needs rather than whole paycheck. We are close enough to the atlantic and the gulf that trucks run all the time.

Based on the people I see at Whole Foods, I find this completely believable

That is very true. After they bought the vendor I mentioned above, the atmosphere itself changed. I see wizened hippies and such that never set foot in the store before. Can't say I get into Trader Joe's (even worse hippies)as an alternative.

I doubt if she hit anyone with her underwear. Don’t underwear usually stick when they hit something?

Mrs. F & I used a gift card to do some rare shopping at TJ's last night.

Being used to shopping at Costco, we were shocked at how tiny everything was!

We did bump into MarionBerry, tho.

I’m a Texan in California, and always bring Trader Joe’s stuff to pals back home when I visit. They’re all hooked on Two Buck Chuck, currant scones and other TJ goodies now. Why that store hasn’t yet moved into some big city in Texas, I can’t understand!
