The jig is up!
That was a really, really unfortunate choice of words.
*******
Really? Explain it to me.

"The jig is up!>>>>>>>>>> Noun: any of various old rustic dances involving kicking and leaping, a device that holds a piece of machine work and guides the tools operating on it, a fisherman's lure with one or more hooks that is jerked up and down in the water, music in three-four time for dancing a jig.
Political correctness. It is insidious.
One way that liberal fascism works it's black magic.
LOL.

Apparently, in the bad old days “jig” was interchangeable with the n-word.
How do I know this? 1989’s “Harlem Nights” set in the thirties used it liberally.
I also recall “jigaboo” being spat out by one of the baddies in 1984’s “Police Academy” (Bubba Smith then proceeds to tear him a new one).
And they say Hollywood can’t teach history.

“Really? Explain it to me.”
jig is an often used shorthand for jigaboo, a terribly insulting word to blacks.
