Soon it will be FRinoRepublic, once a RINO wins the nomination - all their sins will be forgotten.

I've often thought the same thing. How quickly will we forget the "man the barricades, fight to the death" attitude against the Republican nominees once they go up against Hillary? Or once they take the Oval Office? This time next year, FR will be popping champagne to celebrate Mitt or Rudy's victory over Hillary. All will be forgiven. (Just like it was with W).

Can you imagine a “Daily Dose of Mitt” or “Daily Dose of Rudy” thread?

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Exactly. I have a feeling that there is some major backroom begging going on for Fred to drop out , from both the Flip and McPain camps .

Also look for public calls this week as well ...it’s going to be a frustrating week for Fredheads, but i’m sticking with Fred to the bitter end ...

Ann Coulter could be the White House Press Secretary under the Romney Administration.

Just imagine what the press conferences will be like.

I will be voting for Fred Thompson. If he should drop out and support John McCain at some later, date - that is his choice. However, I won't support McCain.

Furthermore, I am not so sure Thompson will support McCain. He may be like a lot of us - discouraged by a field of men who don't really get us excited about voting for them. By November, I'll probably be more excited to vote AGAINST Clinton or Obama.

One last thought, both of my daughters will vote for President for the very first time - 20 and 18 years old. They realize that in big scheme of things, the President is almost powerless - the ones we need to focus on are both houses of Congress. It's time for them to go.

Fred is McCain’s friend. I would excuse him for endorsing his friend. If I had a personal friend running for President, I’d endorse him, too.

As much as I support Fred, though, and will vote for him if he stays in, his endorsement means nothing to me. I don’t think endorsements mean much to most people, except maybe those of large organziations with some political clout (the NRA, for example).

If Fred’s out, I’m choosing between Mitt and Rudy. Rudy’s direct approach appeals to me, but Mitt is a little better across the board on issus. It’s a coin toss. But it won’t matter what Fred says - I can figure it out for myself and I WON’T be voting for McCain.

Hank

As much as I dislike everyone in this race other than Fred, any of them will be at least slightly less awful than the Democrats. Unlike the RINOs, with the Dems there is absolutely no possibility of getting anything other than liberal activists on the Supreme Court.

It will be the first presidential election I've ever sat out.

I HAVE to vote. But I will not vote for most of the 'republican' field..A dem will be able to stack the court for a lot of years, but McCain won't stop that from happening...

You don't seem to grasp the FACT that Romney's record is worse than McCain's and he is, incredibly enough, a bigger liar and flip-flopper than McCain. Romney was liberal across the board in Massachusetts -- from $500 million in fee increases to socialized health care to rabid support for abortion rights and the homosexual agenda.

To support Romney is lose all of one's integrity and credibility. It's not possible to support such a flip-flopper and ever again be able to criticize Democrats for doing the same thing.

And where in the world do you get the idea that Romney did anything remote conservative in Massachusetts?

Since Paul wasn’t in the poll, I voted for Rudy, even though I’d never vote for him in real life. I won’t be voting for the others either, so consider my vote for Rudy a protest vote.

I've noticed that as far as the media is concerned, there was no 2nd place winner in Nevada yesterday. Only a 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th.

My hope is that many Republicans are voting in the Dem. primary against Hillary. As a birthday card I sent stated, There Are Worse Things Than Turning A Year Older (on the cover) only to open it up and it’s a cartoon of Hillary at the Oval Office desk with her name tag!!

I hope Fred does as you say IF he drops out. I’m still voting for him on Super Tuesday!

Go Fred!!! Stay the Course!!

I’m not saying this a supporter but I wonder how it would work if he and DH teamed up now. Is that legal? FT could pull in Huck supporters with DH, I think. It would be a choice for Evangelicals, anyway.

Sorry. Who is DH?

I wouldn't bet on Huckabee supporters voting Republican at all after their candidate was singled out while candidates with more liberal records like Giuliani and Romney were given free rides by the "new" media.

Boy, you're really banking on Mitt not running back to the left after the primaries, aren't you...

I find the current power of the media astounding. Fred is the non-candidate. If they can cut him out of a photograph, they do.I had to make several clicks on the web to find out where Fred placed in Iowa and New Hampshire. Was there a primary somewhere in the South yesterday? Can't tell in the mainstream media.

Have we all become such sheep?

I am going to have to find more pennies to send to Fred. This is ridiculous. My friends and family who sway to the media's tune (Huckabee, McCain....) - what in the world? They are pretty principled, but not students of propaganda like I am.

So, a stay-at-home mother of 5 has got to scrimp to send money to a campaign (Fred's!), as a small sandbag against the flood of RINO's overtaking the GOP. Where are the sober defenders of principle and truth? Freedom? I'm not taking this lying down, but what more can 1 person do?

“I’ve noticed that as far as the media is concerned, there was no 2nd place winner in Nevada yesterday. Only a 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th.”

The mouthbreathers on this forum who constantly whine the media blacked out their candidate need to stand on principle and condemn this.

Instead we just get this go-team-go-rah-rah crap.

They do worse to Paul. They did it to Hunter too.

You don’t care about the principle - you only care about your candidate.

Paul won 2nd in Nevada. Barely a peep from the news, except a few articles minimizing the victory.

All we can do is lend our voice and support to the candidate who most reflects American principles, value, and our heritage. The one who most represents that now, after my 1st choice Hunter has dropped out...is Thompson.

After that, if Thompson were to drop out, as I said, for me its Romney, Huckabee, McCain. The last two I would have to absolutely hold my nose and vote for over a Hillary...Romney at least is saying most of the right things...but his commitment to them are still suspect.

I believe a person can change, and want to give him the benefit of the doubt. But his change is far too convienient and close to his bid for the GOP presidential nomination.

I am still hoping against hope that Thompson emerges and gains greqat momentum. We shall see.

Those polls are really bad polls, they don’t reflect the truth on people who support Fred. I’d write in Fred’s name. It feels like a push poll where people are pushing Fred to quit. Also pushing people to quit supporting Fred. If a person stands for principles like Fred Thompson and many of his supporters, there are no comparable candidates and my principles are not for sale.
