What? You mean Norris said something negative about McCain? Just wait, Huckabee will tell Norris to be nice to his friend and come out with a “I don’t do negative camgaigning” statement like he did after his push-polls against FRed. Huck won’t need to be nasty to McCain as Ross Perot will be doing it and Fred will take on them all in the debate Thursday. McCain and Huckabee face all registered Republicans here in Florida so they will be out soon. It will be Fred, Mitt and Rudy fighting it out in Florida. GO FRED!

"I didn't pick John to support because I'm just afraid that the vice president would wind up taking over his job in that four-year presidency," said Norris

Here's my nightmare scenario:

I fear McCain's age and cancer. I predict that McCain won't survive one term in the White House if he wins, which is why his VP pick would be so important. Now, if McCain were to pick somebody like Fred Thompson as his running mate in order to boost his appeal to Conservatives, then I would have the same fear about Thompson's age and cancer.

So. McCain/Thompson wins, McCain dies in office and Thompson becomes President. Then, a Democrat Congress stalls on confirming Thompson's VP nomination until Thompson also succumbs to the rigors of the job, and then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi ascends to the Presidency.

That's the nightmare, but I doubt that McCain would choose Thompson with the way that Lindsey Graham has been shadowing McCain.

“We get tubbs here in office . . . .I’m a shoe-in for KUNG-FU Czar” . . .

At least McCain is not trying to get us all to buy useless gym equipment on TV.

LOL. I'd like to see that commercial myself.

I’m for Romney, not Huck.
But I’ll say that McCain was VERY out-of-breath during his S.C. thank you speech this morning.
Didn’t look or sound health at all.

Reagan was days short of his 70th birthday when he was first sworn it - a roughly 2-1/2 year difference.

Why does the former Ark gov play bass at the events? Because he can’t play sax.

Does anyone really care what chuckle head says? even in his TV series they didn’t give him very much dialog because he’s a dim bulb. Nice guy but dim. Can tell that by who he supports.

I recently saw a clip of Ronald Reagan from 1980 (the “I paid for this microphone” bit that destroyed Bush in the NH primary) and it’s amazing how youthful and vigorous the Gipper was back then. McCain looks and sounds old, old, old.

I was thinking Bobby for POTUS myself. What is he, 36 now? He needs some more seasoning and ‘12 might be too early for him. Let’s hope he’s able to accomplish something in Louisiana so he’ll have a real conservative record to run on.

McCain's age should have nothing to do with it. Hillary's gender should have nothing to do with it, Obama's race should have nothing to do with it. How shallow of Chuck. They are liberals, that is their problem.

I say to vote McCain .................... right out of that Senate seat! Do not vote for him for the POTUS, do not vote for him to be team captain of your volley ball team. He should not be in any public office, not because he is a certain age..... but because he is a dangerous liberal open borders dufus! Age aint nutten to do with it. If he was a true conservative and inspired the people to achieve without government dependence.... would he be to old then?

Mccain also has cancer that pops up from time to time, I think it’s melinoma, not sure, but he’s always been running around with a bandage somewhere, especially on his face. People talk about Fred’s leukemia, which is under control. So...why is leukemia more dangerous than melenoma? Melenoma is much more progressive and aggresive.
