PESHAWAR: A director of the Pakistan's Intelligence Bureau, Nisar Khan, was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in Seerikh village adjoining Mohmand tribal district in the North West Frontier Province.
Khan was killed near his home when he was returning home after offering early morning prayers at a local mosque, the police said. "The attackers came in a white car, shot Nisar Khan and abducted the prayer leader of the mosque who was walking with him," said Momin Khan, a local police official.
The victim was rushed to a hospital and was declared brought dead.
Ok...this is the second death, Kim spoke of.
Same doubt here...
From WiKi...
The existence of IB predates the creation of Pakistan, as it was a part of the pre-war Intelligence Bureau of British India, and the present day IB was created from elements given to Pakistan upon independence. It was initially the main Pakistani Agency, with responsibility for strategic and foreign intelligence, as well as counter-espionage and domestic affairs. Its performance in the 1948 war was however considered less than exemplary[1] because the pre-independence Bureau was concerned with internal security matters, and was not set up for such its new remit. As a result after the war a new agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), was created, and it took over the strategic and foreign intelligence roles.
No. The IB is for internal security and counterintelligence, while ISI is for gathering intelligence outside Pakistan, iow, IB = FBI, ISI = CIA.
Please explain.
Perv-boy better unleash hell on South Wahiristan.
Al Qaeda is working yp the food chain.
That can’t be good.
When we arrived in Pakistan...they didn’t have any intelligence. This might be more of a loss to us than we can imagine.
Sorry, there has been a prophetic message concerning 2 deaths in Pak. This appears to be the second.
May I ask who the prophet is?
I am sad this happened.
Let me be the first to apologize on behalf of all Americans.
(Oh, Huck beat me to it.)
I hate the phrase “shot dead” almost as much as I hate the phrase “went missing.”
No...I’ll not name him. I will not have him slammed here at FR or any place. Sorry.
Just wondered if it was someone I was supposed to know. No offense.
None taken.
