Sorry I offended you. Sounds like you’re one of those I mentioned, screaming your conversation for the entire mall, restaurant or doctor’s office to hear. Or maybe too rude to hang up when the cashier is checking you out, making others in line delayed while the cashier waits for you to carry on your conversation instead of paying her or unpacking your cart promptly? Or if you’re driving so slow that you’re tying up traffic for miles?

Most people I see on phones are just increfibly selfish, and it is they who draw attention by their incredibly boorish behavior, speaking as if their conversation has no impact on others.

I just re-read my response to you, and it sounded accusatory in nature. That was not my intent. But maybe I just live in an area in which the people practice extremely rude behavior when using their phones, as in the cases I mentioned, and I’m just fed up, as are some of the others who have posted under this topic.

That would be highly presumptuous of you. I generally use the self checkout...in and out in two minutes-phone or not. I go out of my way to speak quietly when I use my phone in public, which I have every right to do. However, when I observe someone who is being loud, I smile at their silliness and go about my business, as should you.
