Good points. You won't hear me saying he should pack it in, btw.

I'm not falling for the MSM spin, though. I don't even have a TV hookup, so I don't even KNOW the MSM spin until I come here when I go online at work.

Sometimes a person can come to a conclusion the MSM comes to without falling for their bull.

It seems "Chadwick" is smitten with Huck. I doubt Fred hates anyone.

If you wish to join the FRed List, please let me or Politicalmom know.

Huck won’t get the nomination in any case. He’s had his 15 minutes and is on the irreversable down slide. He scares the bewhoopus out of folks.

Giuliani will probably lose Florida (it doesn’t matter much to who) but win or lose, that it for him. He has nowhere else to go. His show won’t play out there on the road in flyover country.

Romney’s campaign is worse than broke, and unless he wants to continue to pour his own money into this particular rathole, he’s going to have to scale way back. Romney’s down, but not out. His problem is that he just isn’t liked -it’s that simple. There’s no emotional connection there. Romney’ll be there at the convention, making a speech, but it won’t be the acceptance speech.

McCain’s entire campaign is an air-filled gasbag and will burst at any time. The only reason he’s still in this is that there are two candidates even loonier than Mccain that make him appear saner than he really is. Mccain’s “Dean Scream” moment has been scripted - and is coming soon.

Ron Paul has worn out his minimal welcome outside neo-nazi circles. Even the 9-11 truthers are tiring of him.

As I see it Fred will have the field pretty much to himself if he sticks with it.

That is, if you discount John Cox.

Well, I hit the button for a donation to Fred Sunday afternoon because he got third is SC which is EXACTLY what most FredHeads expected. If Fred will continue to show, Rooty McRomBee will consume itself. This race is very young and tactics are key, not buzzwords or rumors.

I too expected him to do 3rd in SC, and he did.

I think we will only know AFTER the primaries who played smart. People (myself included) get wrapped up in TODAY when we need to see the whole game played before we can decide who was the real leader in terms of bringing the country around to his point of view.

“Thompson was supposed to be the guy who grabbed the evangelical vote.”

You can thank James Dobson’s leaked email for driving a lot of evangelicals away from the Fred camp.

Dobson also said this about Fred:

In an interview with "U.S. News & World Report," Dobson said, "I don't think he's a Christian."

The FOX news poll needs some FREDhead attention:

http://youdecide08.foxnews.com/

It was up yesterday as “The Question of the Day”. The result was overwhelming for Fred to remain in the race. Now it seems to be “The Question of the Week” and they’ll run it until they get the answer they want....because polls don’t lie. LOL.

Persona-wise, Huckabee is everything Thompson isn't—charming, funny, and self-effacing. Most importantly, Huckabee possesses the start power that many Republicans hoped Thompson would have in the race. Huck is bizarro Fred....

LOL!...this is really rich, but then again....SLATE, is nothing more than a Klintoon (boot-licker :) rag....information/truth is out; propaganda/shilling is in.

I don’t think that is a truthful premise. Fred is not sapping votes from Huck. Most Fredheads would never vote for Huck.

I think its the other way around - Huck is sapping votes from Fred. Most Huck supporters would vote for Fred but not vice versa. Fred is the only consensus candidate that could emerge form this race. I'm not comparing the men involved, but this could play out like the 1860 Republican convention, where the man eventually chosen started out 4th in delegates, but was the only man a majority would agree to support.

"...Huckabee is everything Thompson isn't—charming, funny, and self-effacing..."

Hm. Those are three adjectives I'd apply to Fred, not Huck. Fred's genuinely funny, as has been shown many times, from his YouTube smackdown of Michael Moore to his "cup of ethanol" jab in the debate. Huckabee is witty but more in a glib, slick, shallow and Bill-Clinton-smoooooooth way.
