Every missile attack -- by sovereign "Palestine" upon sovereign Israel, which is in fact an act of war -- should be greeted with an artillery bombardment of appropriate duration.
Ideally, I think that for every attack, Israel should take a piece of Gaza, extend the wall around it, and make it no-man’s land. Plow it flat. If they can’t bring themselves to just take it, then buy it from its owner at market rate, but no right of refusal.
It stays empty, and is never to be returned. It is non-negotiable. It will never, ever be part of Gaza again.
At least by doing this, the endless status quo will end. Either they stop with the attacks, or they get kicked entirely out of Gaza. Their choice.
