At this point, I don't think McCain can be stopped. There is a personal animus between Romney and Huckabee meaning that Huckabee will support McCain when Huck realizes the his run is over.

There is only a slim chance to stop McCain now and that is for conservatives of all stripes to get behind Romney.

Failing that we get McCain or Clinton in the White House. McCain will appoint conservatives to the bench while Clinton will appoint liberals. McCain will see the WOT through while Clinton will make it more likely that the jihadists have another uccessful strike on the US proper.

Other than that, there's not much to choose from.
