To all who responded, Thanks for the kind words and any prayers that you are sending my way.

Sadly, my poor pup passed away early today. It is for the best. He had a long life despite all his problems.

Actually when I think about it I could learn a lesson from him. We found him after he had been hit by a truck at about 3 years of age. Both pelves were broken. He healed up nicely, but had a limp and narrowed hips. He was deaf, and blind in one eye and had very little site in the other. (congenital defect the docs said). We had him for 10 great years. He was a lovable Australian shepherd always cheerful and peaceful. He was great with both my children and very protective of them.

He will be missed.

I finally got my heat working and we are warm and toasty tonight. My family is sitting her watching movies and eating popcorn and just sharing some family time.

All I need is that plumbing problem to go away or the money to mysteriously appear for us to fix it and all will be well. I will put my trust in God and know that he will provide.

Thanks again for the kind words and prayers,(keep up the prayers).

We have a warranty, but of course it doesn’t cover septic. The stove we were able to fix today and the heat also. Heat was covered by warranty.

There is some question as to whether the previous owners knew about the septic problems and did not disclose it. We have a lawyer friend working on it now. Hopefully we can resolve this amicably without having to go to court.

Price tag to fix the problem is $4300.00

Well, unless it damaged the interior, you're getting off a wee bit light. Ours had to have a new leech field put in and cost us $6500. And it sold with the back yard all torn up...my buyer must have really wanted the place badly.

This just goes to show you there is always someone worse off than you. I don’t feel so bad about the price. I thought 4300 was high, but I guess it could be a lot worse.

There was no interior damage so we are doing well.

Thanks for brightening my day a little :-)
