Preventing McCain or Huckabee from being the nominee may be the best strategy at the moment.

McCain stepped in it into tonight:
He shilled for Gore's global warming snake oil.
NYTimes endorsed him.
He's not going to be the GOP nominee.

actually, in a straight up general election, McCain has the best chance because independent voters would overwhelmingly go for him, as would the purported 17% of democrats who refuse to vote for Hillary.
Romney is another John Kerry-—his flip flopping and his weird statements will torpedo him in a general

Preventing McCain or Huckabee from being the nominee may be the best strategy at the moment. Romney would have an uphill battle against Hillary in the South. We'll see how well they run here over the next couple of weeks.

Preventing McCain or Huckabee from being the nominee may be the best strategy at the moment. Why would you want to derail Huckabee? I mean, heck, didn't you like the "trickle up" and "build a wider road in the south east stimulus package" pandering?
