Bruce Lee also new grappling, don’t be so sure, Bruce Lee also fought in tournaments and had the goods to back himself up as a true fighter.
Joyce Gracie was a lean dude taking out 10th degree black belts and dudes bigger than him the early stages of UFC before other fighters caught on to that fighting style.

“And now, we have Brad Pitt playing Achilles. Our action heroes have gone metrosexual, for the most part, and it’s to the detriment of society.”
Pathetic isn’t it. Hollywood humanizes badguys and monsters and turns heroes into self-loathing wusses.

Actually, I did enjoy “Lords of Flatbush” (more for Perry King’s and, believe it or not, Henry Winkler’s performances) and “Nighthawks.” Other than that, Stallone’s non-Rocky body of work is pitiful. Don’t get me started on the waste of acting talent that was “Copland.”

“Norris said in a real fight he would have crushed Bruce Lee. I believe him.”
In a ‘real fight’ I think it would have been a close thing. Bruce fought in Hong Kong street fights before taking up martial arts and Norris had military experience.
Hard to say really as real fights aren’t like ring fights or other safe fights. Even the vaunted ‘no holds barred’ fights have plenty of holds and strikes that are illegal, because both viewers and fighters prefer not to have crippled or dead contestants after each match.

I forgot about that one. That was actually a pretty good movie. Loved the Dennis Leary rant about doing what he wants to do. I also loved the bashing it gave to all the liberal beliefes about how to “fight” crime.

God blees him! I hope one of my three boys turns out like that. If I could have one a Ranger (Marine or Navy Seal would do, too), one a priest, and one take over the family business, I'd consider myself a successful father.

I think this is proof positive that McCain is a liberal.Relax. It was a gag offered in response to a silly question from one of the moderators. I thought it was McCain's high point of the forum.
Not that it made me any likelier to vote for him . . .
