I have one word: Vioxx.

And I have one word: tomato.

Tomatoes were at one time considered to be poisonous. At other times, they were frowned upon because they were thought to cause impure sexual desire in people who ate them.

Neither Vioxx nor Tomatoes have any damned thing to do with this vaccine, and whether it's a) safe or b) effective.

—yeah—that’s the one,IIRC, my mother can’t get anymore because half a dozen or so people had strokes and a bunch of lawyers made a mint-—

Exactly. Some vaccinations have been mandated all my life, for 55 years. Why haven’t they had problems?

It seems to be the newer vaccines that have more risk. I base this comment on nvic.org information.

I'm not sure I get your point. Vioxx should never have been pulled from the market; I read the studies and there is a tiny, tiny risk present. To deprive patients who need that therapy from choosing whether or not they're willing to put themselves at (tiny) risk is insane.
