I do think that talk radio has lost a wee bit of influence. A lot of talk radio hosts became apologists for the Republicans who stopped acting like conservatives.

I think you're the lone voice of reason here so far. I think you're right - after the 2006 election when many (not all) talk show hosts were calling those disgusted with RINOs 'cut and run conservatives', many of those conservatives cut and ran from listening to those shows.

Hey Barney, we could be wrong. I did a quick search on talk show ratings: numbers are in millions of listenings weekly

Fall 2005 Limbaugh 13.5, Hannity 12.5, Savage 8.25, Ingraham 5.0

Spring 2007 Limbaugh 13.5, Hannity 12.5, Savage 8.0, Ingraham 5.0

Little change. I kinda thought Rush’s coming back to principles over party was due to a loss of revenue. I’m glad to know that’s probably not the case.
