Correct me if I'm wrong. To vote in a Federal election in the United States you must be a citizen of the United states. If your born and raised here you've most likely part of the 99% of us who are publicly educated, and were taught in English. If your a naturalized citizen like my father you had to pass a comprehensive battery of tests only administered in English. Therefor as an American citizen you should be able to speak and understand English.

So why would any candidate running for a Federal office try to get votes from people who do not speak English unless they are encouraging those people to vote illegally. They wouldn't be wiving for the illegal vote would they?

Absolutely they are. Many illegals vote and have been found doing so. Many more will vote this time.
