These fees are non-voluntary. If you or your kid wants to go to this school you have no choice but to pay for this obscenity.

Just like your taxes going to all manor of things not authorized by the Highest Law of the Land, The Constitution. Those fees are in fact taxes.

True if it is a state university. But most private schools also have activity fees to support similar obscenities.
