To answer that question simply, NO!

I do not want somebody to become President who is willing to sell his soul or his very self to reach that position.

And if you had listened carefully to Fred, that was the distinction he was trying to make between himself, Rudy, Mitt, and others.

He was not doing it because he WANTED to be President, but because he felt the country, his family, the times required a consistent conservative.

Do yourself a favor next time and don't buy the MSM and GOP Party Elites garbage.

Fred was looking for conservative and intelligent voters. Apparently there were not enough of them this election cycle for a conservative to run.

I think there are enough of them. But the candidate has to actually be a candidate. Again, not sell his soul, but RUN. It can be done. Just being a good conservative will not get one elected. Doesn't it seem silly, now that his campaign is over, to think that he ever had a chance? The votes don't come in by themselves. Read the article! He was watching a friggin basketball game! And folks here don't think that's anything worth complaining about. I think a lot of folks here - if they stick to this line of thinking regarding Thompson - are in "fool me twice" territory.
