Here 's this sunday's Media Nuggets

****** Michael Yon in NYTimes' eyes -> Frontline Blogger Covers War in Iraq With a Soldier’s Eyes.

****** WH press-corpse Shocked to Learn that W Snubbed them in favor of 3 network reporters who flew to Israel solely for a one-on-one interview with Bush. Nice - travelling press corpse become lame-ducks !

****** LATimes' Ousted Editor Fires -> Parting Shot at "Tribune" Chain.

****** CBS pulls plug on 20 projects -> due to the fallout from the writers strike.

****** Fox in tank with Gore on "Global Warming" Coal Industry-Sponsors 2 CNN debates, so No Questions On Global Warming. Meanwhile, Fox's "reporter" shouting from Alaska with his spin - "Polar Bears are dying because of "global warming". Looks like Changing Times.

****** MSM hiding good news, fearing W could get credit? -> Heart disease deaths plummet ahead of 2010 goal.

****** The Dis-Associated Press -> Large swaths of liberal bias rife throughout the organization and its presentations of the news, and it in many ways blazes the trail for its many lesser liberal journalistic cohorts to follow.

****** NYTimes lying & creating MRAP controversy that was not.

****** Associated Press, Reuters & BBC! -> become pure instruments of terrorist propaganda on behalf of Hamas.

****** Revolving Doors @ liberal land! -> CNN Hires Managing Editor From NPR.

****** Outrage of the Day! -> Slamming Jesus Christ is OK, but "Brokeback Mountain" actor is not.

****** NYMcCainTimes Fishy Story -> scaremongering story about Mercury-Tainted Sushi.

****** Let the Sun-shine on Media-black-out! -> Jane Harman(D)'s manager facing 20 years in prison for defrauding $200,000 public money with phony expense reports. Shame on McCain for rehashing Abramoff & letting-off bigger dem.scandals.

****** Sun-Times Media Group sells 3 Newspapers -> Skyline, Booster and News-Star and laid-off staffers get pink slips...by phone.

FWIW ................

*** CNN-HLN’s Erica Hill is shifted to Anderson Cooper 360 as a correspondent from Feb 1. Mike Galanos (Conservative) will replace her @ HLN.

*** President Bush @ his best -> genuinely believes in the inherent dignity of the unborn.

*** Tom DeLay will give an address at the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, Ark., and sign copies of his book, “No Retreat, No Surrender: One American’s Fight”.

*** Bet on Iraq! -> The free world is behind Iraq.

*** Silvio Berlusconi, Conservative & Pro-American might become next PM of Italy. Hamastan & Hizbollah-crat media want to hide this.

*** EBay's CEO Meg Whitman (Romney's Commerce Sec !) Next California Governor?

*** God Bless Jenna Bush on her bridal shower!

Thanks for your observations.
I agree with you, and Romney’s ability to express his views is a great selling point to uncommitted Rs too.

“After the frustration of President Bush not being able to articulate......, Romney will be able to face any opponent, and I see him as the best person to go face to face with all other government heads for the next 4-8 years.”

When I go into the voting booth, I want to vote for a candidate because of his character and his stands on the issues, not just because he is a Republican.....as a vote for McCain would be.

Endorsements are cheap. It’s going to be close, very close, between the three, but I think Romney CAN pull it out. Whether he WILL or not is still up in the air.

I don’t think the endorsement pulls all that much weight, but that’s just my opinion.

Great stuff MM,but I think Bubba hit pay dirt when he turned the race basically into a black/white event. My guess is not enough rat voters will see much beyond that.

Love the cartoon and your Tag! Says it all to any who delude themselves into thinking McCain can actually win and, most importantly, that he is any sort of conservative minded politician.

You are absolutely right about the Republican candidates' need to support President Bush. No matter how hard the media is working to re-write history, he did win re-election in 2004 for several reasons.

Too many Republicans run their campaigns to please the media, responding to polls. In other words, they act like Democrats. And that explains how the Republicans lost Congress in 2006; acting like Democrat aristocracy.

When we get Republican candidates who are willing to act and vote like Republicans, they will take over the majority position again.

Wallace interviewed Huckabee as if he were a commentator on the candidates who are running, except for one question about his own campaign: what are you doing by staying in Florida when you are so far down in the polls.

Lots of nasty stuff about the Clintons. I am enjoying this immensely.

Yeah i agree, the huckster is yesterdays news. The only thing he can try now is to become VP which is a real long shot(no one is seriously vying for the Arkansas vote) or try for some leverage by selling off his “following” which probably averages an 80 IQ,also of little value.
