The Mormons differ from Orthodxx christianity in their beliefs about Christ.
Oh, good grief. Not that old saw...
The Mormons worship Jesus as the Christ, the Redeemer, the Only Begotten Son of God -
I think GOD will decide if they are therefore Christians - not the stiff-necked amoung us who presume to speak for God...
CHRISTIAN:
1. of, pertaining to, or derived from Jesus Christ or His teachings: a Christian faith.
2. of, pertaining to, believing in, or belonging to the religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ: Spain is a Christian country.
3. of or pertaining to Christians: many Christian deaths in the Crusades.
4. exhibiting a spirit proper to a follower of Jesus Christ; Christlike: She displayed true Christian charity.
5. decent; respectable: They gave him a good Christian burial.
6. human; not brutal; humane: Such behavior isn't Christian.
noun 7. a person who believes in Jesus Christ; adherent of Christianity.
8. a person who exemplifies in his or her life the teachings of Christ: He died like a true Christian.
The Mormon's fit every above criteria - yet people still maintain they aren't Christian because they don't believe in the Trinity = which the earlier followers didn't either -

With few exceptions I have found Mormons to be decent, honest Christians. As a Catholic I could easily lump many so-called Protestant denominations into that un-Christian category so many "orthodox" Christians assign to Mormons and for the same reasons. I refuse to do so. Whether Mormons, Lutherans, Methodists, Baptists, or Episcopalians are actually Christian will only be determined by God. We are not here to judge, but to be judged. In the end, God will look into our hearts and actions, not into which pew we sat in or which hymns we sang.

Do you think that matters to the Jews or to God if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is considered by you to be "Christian"?
Do you think that: (Genesis 12:3) "And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all nations of the earth be blessed" -- applies only to your narrow definition of Christian?
My best friend is Jewish and I am appalled at what "Christians" have said to her and treated her. If I weren't there at the time, I don't know that I would have believed the blind ignorant bigotry myself.
