Well, listen to this real straight talk: Thad Cochran, U.S. Senator (Miss) who endorsed Romney, recently said his choice was prompted partly by his fear of how McCain might behave in the Oval Office. "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine," Cochran said about McCain by phone. "He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me." Yes, but Mitt Romney is a good and decent Republican candidate for President.
It is closed, and while I read one article of this,it wasn’t much and everyone believes the delegates will be seated. Republicans only get 1/2. Floridians do NOT bother to change their party for a primary, ain’t gonna happen, maybe significantly less than 1/2 of 1%.
The polling I have seen does not give Rudy an edge, last one Mitt and johnboy were even on already voted/sure to vote 28% each.Hard to say but looking at the polls Mitt has lots of MO which must be why McCain is hitting him.
Re Christ: Who cares?
You’re right - we certainly shouldn’t select a candidate based on looks alone.
But the electorate has proven to be untrustworthy when seeking out facts about a candidate. Instead, they rely on what the MSM pushes at them. I doubt whether anyone knows Obama’s positions on anything; the media has just been pushing that he’s an agent of change and that he’s “inspirational” (but what he inspires is unknown)!
So if that’s what we’re facing, we may as well do so with a nice looking guy who professes to be a conservative. Many conservatives will vote for Romney because we believe him to be closest aligned with us ideologically, and others (who can be swept away by “charm”) may select him because of his looks. So if he can beat the dem because of his looks, that’s OK I guess. Whatever it takes to keep the dems out of power.
Oh yes, clearly the Dims all fear Mitt in the general election. You can get a large clue about who the Dims would really prefer to run against by who they glowingly praise, McCain, vs who they stridently insist has no chance to win, Romney.
That is the truth. Romney doesn’t exist. I sent a note through the fox tip line on Monday after SC... Cameron didn’t even mention Mitt’s name on his hourly updates all morning.... Britt took it up on his show, about Mitt leading. There was a poll out showing Mitt up in florida and all cameron could talk about was mcpain..... sad sad sad.
I think Mitt is going to look really good compared to their pseudo-experience. He shows a very even temperament and is smart smart smart. I don’t think he is perfect but I sure do like him, Ann and the whole family.
An aside, my husband and I have talked politics much lately, but he did tell me he is voting for Romney on Tuesday, that he had voted for his dad in 1968.
You're right, but I said early on that the young 21 year old bride that voted for the slick one is the same 35 year old that will vote for Romney. Can't tell you how many of them know his politics, but they know his looks.
A victory Tuesday will take care of that. He's the only candidate with enough money to advertise in every major market next week leading up to Feb 5th. With the momentum of a win and the money to buy advertising he'll do just fine on Super Tuesday...and he IS still leading in Delegate count.
McCain's mother is wrong...the Repulican base will NOT hold their noses and vote for the two faced backstabber...they'll proudly cast a vote foe MItt.
Of course...he would be if the MSM, FOX included, weren't so heavily invested in a McCain victory. They're afraid of Mitt just as much asthey were afraid of Fred...only Mitt's not going to be pushed around by them.
Florida's Primary is closed. IIRC Democrats aren't voting unless they're willing to change their party registration. I don't think most people are willing to go to the trouble just to vote in a primary.
IOW....GO FLIPPER!
So you're a Mitt supporter, right?
The other was computer generated with basically the same questions.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney earning 33% of the vote while Arizona Senator John McCain attracts 27%
Now the link reads:
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Florida shows former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney earning 33% of the vote while Arizona Senator John McCain attracts 27%.
Notice the difference? This is better news than I thought!
Yes, that’s what I said in the ensuing part of my post. A vote is a vote; if someone votes for Romney on principle, that’s great; if they’re voting on his looks, it’s still a vote against the dems.
BHO: "I'm ready for a change, guys -- how 'bout you?"
JMcC: "Mr. Maryk, have you seen the strawberries?"
"JL: "Uh, John, we're in the Senate chambers..."
TK: "<hic> Where'd I put that bottle?"
Now if he would just come down here and have a beer with me, we would know how much of a FLIPPER he truly is! I'm counting on him to raise a glass of water (Vodka on Ice) once in a while.
I realized that I didn’t put Florida in the title, but it was right there in the article which i thought people would read. Mitt has the big MO. I think he’ll have a hugh win.
Fox News has abandoned Giuliani and is now pimping for McCain hardcore, from top to bottom.
