Who changes their position on abortion when they are in their 50s? Romney obviously held a pro-choice position when it was to his advantage when running for Gov in MA. Now he is pro-life because he needs to be to win the Republican nomination. What is he really? I don’t know. But no one can tell me a 50 something man had a change of heart on the abortion issue.

People can change. I believe he personally has always been against it but went into liberal lala land to say that a woman should be able to choose for herself.

He now indicates that he has determined that the life within must be protected and should not be up to that type of "choice".

Reagan changed his position on abortion too. I am willing to give Romney the benefit of the doubt and allow for his change.

I would rather see a person repent of their past and openly admit it and then work for the right, then to consign them forever to no chance. Christ himself offered us all that chance (in my faith)...the chance to change, to put off the old man. Romney indicates he has. I will give him that chance until his action after the change state otherwise.

I think it’s possible. My husband changed his pro abortion position while we were in college. My oldest brother changed his pro abortion stance a month ago and he’s pushing 60. My 40 something female friend has always been pro abortion but she changed recently, saw that it was murder. I don’t know if Romney is for real on this but it’s possible. Romney is not my choice for President but now that Hunter and Thompson are out and Rudy has no shot, I’m voting for him in the primary, I think. He wouldn’t make a terrible president, imo.
