I served in Vietnam with a chief nurse somewhere in her 50’s.
I was a very young Lt. in the ANC at the time. How she did it I will never know. The heat, monsoon’s, living in tents and worry having so many young people under her command. We buried that lovely Col. last year. She was a sweetheart.

My father did two tours in Vietnam (1967-68 and 1970-71). I didn’t know much at the time, but I’m terribly impressed now with those who got through it.

My daughter has a lot of heritage to live up to, but she’s got the nerve to do it. She plans to join the Air Force (like her father and uncle) and hopes to become a mechanic.
