Reminds me of a dismal evening when I was attending the Infantry School at Fort Benning. We had been in the woods for about three days. Me and my bud were sitting under a tree, in the rain, eating our cold c-rations when he turned to me and said: “All this would end immediately if only our mothers could see us now. We would be taking a hot shower and eating hot chow or these tac officers would be dead.”
LOL!!! So true. Hey, but when a leg once myself....if it weren’t raining we weren’t training. Tac officers have this thing about needing the constant smell of trench foot, jungle rot, and the smell of the backsides of their superior officers.
