Rush should point out that McCain did a bait and switch, substituting the progress benchmarks that Romney supported and Bush implemented with withdrawal deadlines that Democrats wanted.

That's because McCain is a closet Democrat.

I think it is more a military timetable issue.

if you have a military timetable you can change it without the enemy being able to “lay low” for give a false victory.

You also match it with benchmarks.
