I’ll take it. Wonder why RealClearPolitics doesn’t rely on this though?

I am sorry but you are wrong. Here are the exact words:
"PPP surveyed 680 likely Republican primary voters on January 27th."

I wish I could believe these polls, but I don’t.

and this tax plan McCain always claims he wanted Bush to put through -- the McCain tax plan -- was given a C- back in 2000 when he was running against Bush -- he was in favor of a substantial increase in Corporate Taxes....
Romney was against the Bush tax cuts at the time, too.
To: Old Retired Army Guy
This poll was taken January 27th.
That’s yesterday.
You’re going around trying to throw water on all the polls showing Romney pulling away from McCain.
I wonder why... hmmm.....

The polls pretty much say 25-30% of those they polled have voted. I think this poll said 25% had already voted...39% of those for Mitt and 30% for McCain.
Defintely those breaking over the weekend and in the last week for Mitt.
I just hung up on Crist.

Don’t know but RealClear averages alot of different polls...uses older data and is real slow picking up trends. My money’s on Mitt tomorrow.

Good, thanks for keeping us posted.
I’ll keep bumping this thread since the data angers the Mitt haters.

Romney supported a $20 Billion federal program to research alternative energies. This could help the auto industry but is not a give away or a bailout of the industry. I strongly oppose any kind of corporate welfare but a govt funded research initiative to develop new energy sources so we cease our dependence on oil from the Middle East is far better than most uses of govt money. The Manhattan project to develop the atomic bomb was govt funded but had hugely a positive impact on the nation and the economy. I think if we reduced our dependence on Middle East oil it would help our economy and have a direct positive impact on national security as well.

I wonder if it will move the Cuban community though. Martinez has to have a lot of support among the Cubans.

That is a liberal style response with no specifics. Romney was asked this question after he won Michigan and he clarified what he would use the $20 Billion for and it is no way a bailout.
I have several problems with Romney as well but of the remaining choices he is the most conservative. Let’s discuss the specifics of his position instead of liberal style name calling. Let’s leave that to DU and I know you are better than that.

Then you are looking at the wrong one...there was a poll on 1/23 too. in which Romney was at 28% and McCain at 23%.... the one in this post is a new one (dated 1/28) with Romney still leading.
