He deserved every word. I am confounded of having to defend what should be obvious to any man that considers himself worthy to be called such: A man does not compromise the good in exchange for possessing the lesser of evil. A man stands up, gird his loins, and fights... even knowing the contest will cost him his possessions, his family, his reputation, indeed his very life. What profit it a man to gain the world and loose his soul?

I know Dr. Ron Paul is not going to win the GOP nomination... However, he IS the only MAN left on the field of battle. He IS steadfast and courageous, even under derision and mockery, despite the calumny, which the establishment GOP never misses a chance to heap upon him.

Now, in candor, I too have had some fun lambasting Paul, and equally all the other candidates, with the satire of political lyric. However the hour grows short, and I am wont to be most serious about where my country and compatriots desire to take this republic.

I find it instructive that the MSM ignores Ron Paul... Why? I contend that the media and the establishment bureaucracy are terrified of one man whom will not be bought. Paul may be small in stature, soft spoken, and not very intimidating in posture... but he stands head and shoulders above the current cadre of compromising and condescending poltroons whom call themselves conservatives.

I observe that Paul holds true to the principles established by those who founded this American Republic. Men whom knew, from centuries of foregone history, how wolves, singing the sweet siren song of compromise, kill a nation. Those cohorts of the devil whom whisper: “No cause for alarm, it’s just a small evil; Be a good soldier and let it go past.” Once the poor soul has accepted those 30 pieces of silver, then he is all but lost.

To paraphrase Saint Thomas Moore: When a man takes a vow, he holds himself in his own hands like water... If he should then open his hands, he should not hope to ever find himself again.

Those who murder personal conscience are swift to take integrity prisoner and bring individual liberty into tyrannical subjection. Those who accept “little” evils malign a culture until it can no longer be recognized as anything unique worth preserving.

I will not be a part of that force.

"Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace:..."
