AUSTRALIAN Special Forces have reportedly assassinated several "high-value" Taliban targets in Afghanistan, but have also killed many Aghani civilians in the process.
.....
Australian and Dutch troops are members of the International Security Assistance Force fighting against the Taliban in the province of Uruzgan.
But, according to the Time report, whereas the Dutch are accused of being overly cautious and even cowardly, Australian troops are accused by Afghanis of being too gung-ho.
"Australian Special Forces . . . have been accused of fighting too aggressively," the report says.

Of course, civilian casualties (genuine ones - not Taliban supporters) are regrettable, and should be avoided where it is reasonably possible to do so, but if you're not prepared to do what you have to do, you've no business being there.
I admire the Aussies. How do you tell the difference in Taliban and civilians? Send the Dutch back home....they might get hurt over there.
Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie, Oi, Oi, Oi !
Gotta love our allies from Oz.

G’day, Muhammed!
The taliban don’t mind killing innocents at all.
“...killed an entire family of six, including women, who had allegedly been hosting a meeting of Taliban leaders.”
Hosting a meeting of Talivan leaders???? Yea, that is the key phrase.
AND ‘G’d on’ya’!!
Ahhh, some good news today. I needed that.
The women were likely only there as insurance that they wouldn’t be hit by the westerners who don’t like to kill innocents. Aside from producing offspring, that’s all women are good for in their mentality.
If the women were there because they supported the men, then they were enemy combatants and they got what they deserved.

You can’t trust a thing you hear from muzzies when it comes to making us or our supporters look bad. I’m surprised they didn’t claim it was just another wedding.
If I were heading a small NATO or West-aligned country, I’d want my troops in Afghanistan or Iraq to gain real-life war experience. You never know, when your country is going to have an insurgency or get attacked by terrorists or an aggressive neighboring country (ie Venezuela) and your Army better have experience. I’ll bet the Dutch military would like to get in there and shake it up, but the politicians are interfering. The Dutch especially have a threat of domestic insurgency with several million unassimilated Muslims imported to receive welfare.
But by the same token, it should be made clear to Taliban that all and any people aiding or abetting them are suspect and targets as well. THEN (if they care at all about their families) maybe they will not use them as shields. It sounds callous, but I don’t know how we in the West are supposed to have more regard for their ‘families’ than they do themselves.
Exactly. If they know that they are targets and at risk of being hit when they meet, then it’s totally irresponsible of them to have any of their family, or innocent civilians, in the vicinity. You’re right, it shows a blatant disregard for them.
They don’t value human life. When we’re not around, they eat each other.
Yeah 2 lawyers over here want to prosecute the government for the ‘high’ number of Afghan civilian casualties.
Civilian casualties are a very sad, but unavoidable part of war. Especially when the enemy is completely outside of the Geneva Conventions by not wearing a uniform, the rest of the world will just have to grit its teeth and bear with the ugly realities as we keep them safe.
For our Aussie friends reading FR, thank you.
Let me guess.... they’re muslims?
If not, they should be stripped of their citizenship and charged with treason.
Lie down with dogs and get up with fleas.
