ANTARCTIC VOLCANOES IDENTIFIED AS A POSSIBLE CULPRIT IN GLACIER MELTING

Another factor might be contributing to the thinning of some of the Antarctica's glaciers -- volcanoes, according to the authors of an article published on the Web site of the journal Nature Geoscience.
According to Hugh Corr and David Vaughan of the British Antarctic Survey:
Volcanically, Antarctica is a fairly quiet place; but sometime around 325 B.C., a hidden and still active volcano erupted, puncturing several hundred yards of ice above it. Ash and shards from the volcano carried through the air and settled onto the surrounding landscape; that layer is now out of sight, hidden beneath the snows that fell during the next 2,300 years. Still, the layer showed up clearly in airborne radar surveys conducted over the region in 2004 and 2005 by American and British scientists. As a result, volcanic heat could still be melting ice to water and contributing to thinning and speeding up of the Pine Island glacier, which passes nearby.
"This is the first time we have seen a volcano beneath the ice sheet punch a hole through the ice sheet" in Antarctica, says Vaughan.

pure nonsense, we all know its bovine flatulence that is the major cause of the melting.

No way man,
Global warming brought on by the Industrials.
Just ask Nobel Prize winner Algore.
Yeah.

LOL, an obvious likelihood from the very beginning. The fact that it is totally ignored by our “scientists” only shows the lack of an integrity within our academic institutions and specifically within the “scientists” they turn out. The scientific community is not to be trusted or believed on any claim without verification. We are living in the Dark ages. The last person I believe in any situation is the big money grant beholden expert.

You mean all those man-made CO2 is being absorb underground and causing volcanos????? We need even stricter controls on CO2. That stuff is dangerous.

There were articles recently about a volcano in Greenland under the ice contributing to the melting there.

There were documentaries years ago on that same situation the last time a volcano went off in Iceland.
Geeee, who would have ever thought that the lava in Iceland would melt large quantities of ice?

Yep.
Stop breathing ASAP.
At least—stop exhaling.

It really should come as no surprise, after all the Earth’s core is molten and dare I say very hot. Given that the heat capacity of water is about 1000 times as great as air and that ice is largely below the surface certainly should suggest a more likely cause of ‘natural climate change” would be oceans warming. But again scientists are not to be trusted in any way shape or form. Science is a wonderful tool if not abused by agenda driven institutions. Science can lead to truths and facts but not in the hands of our MIT agenda driven propagandists who are nothing but a bunch of greedy lackeys for a cause.

Stop breathing ASAP. At leaststop exhaling. You know that is a great idea. Perhaps we can make a new law that mandates to everyone that for every two inhales you are only allowed one exhale. That would reduce emissions from breathing by 50%. I wonder how many carbon credits I will get for that idea.
