I got a genuine Roy Rogers cap pistol and holster for Christmas in the first grade. Wore it to school for a week. Another kid had some sort of toy gun in his pocket, the teacher let us have a showdown in front of the class. Unfortunately, my RR pistol tended to hang up in the holster, so he outdrew me and I had to fall down dead. Utter humiliation.
