ABOARD THE CAMPAIGN PLANE -- Sen. Barack Obama today sought to quell talk that he deliberately snubbed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, his rival for the Democratic nomination for president, during Monday night's State of the Union address.

Accompanied by Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill as he traveled to his grandfather's birthplace of El Dorado, Kan., and then on to Missouri, Obama, the Illinois freshman senator, sought to downplay the incident, saying he was surprised by the reports and photographs showing Obama turning away when Clinton approached to shake hands with Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy.

Well, one thing we know for sure is he didn’t see her, throw open his arms and welcome the opportunity for a big hug.

Wonder what it’s going to be like for these two to be back in the Senate when this whole thing is over and we have a Republican President.

Nope, no snubbings here.

Kinda childish on Bama’s part. At least he could be a man and shake her hand rather than hiding behind Crazy Uncle Teddy.

Pray for W and Our Troops

If he were a gentleman, he would have gone out of his way to greet her, shake her hand and make it seem like he was happy to see her. He’s a Democrat, not a gentleman and a fool for not taking advantage of an opportunity to make himself look like the civil one.

Saving for posterity, great pics!
I had a FReeper tell me that Obama did not “snub” the pledge and was looking for this pic.

Hummmm. I wonder who will be the guiding force behind Obama if he wins the W.H.? For some time it has been apparent that there is a split in the democrat party between the clintonites and the kennedyites. Wonder how we could exploit that weakness.

You know, if he had said he did intentionally snub Clinton, he probably could pull a couple of percentage points of middle-conservatives over to him. ;-)

I never snubbed her. What happened was that there suddenly came a really foul odor, like rotting tuna. I turned my head to escape the smell and had no idea Hillary was nearby.
