There is a joke about a woman from IN who asked before her death to be buried in Chicago so that she could thereafter “at least” still vote.

In 1904, St. Louis was the fourth largest city in the USA — only NYC, Chicago, and Philadelphia were larger — and the site of the World’s Fair held to commemorate Lewis and Clark centennial. Over the years, the city has steadily declined, but there is still the Arch.

I stayed at a hotel near the dead retail mall. It was like walking through a ghost town. I was wishing I had my gun with me.

I found it interesting that my father (died just before Labor Day) didn't get any mailed voting information. Both parents have been on "permanent absentee" and automatically received mail in ballots and pamphlets.

Mom's arrived this season as usual.

I suppose the county coroner here notifies the registrar.
