When has McCain ever been on the right side when it mattered, in word or deed, since he became a media darling. Even his support for the surge was just a calculated ploy to raise his poll numbers at the expense of Bush's. He was talking and leaning cut and run to the WashPo 3 months before the Romney quote for which he falsely claimed Romney was doing that. With Romney, at the worst, we'd have someone who might pander to us. With McCain he'd only pander to the media and the libs, because they are his only true friends.
