GATA alleges that gold stored in US vaults has not been audited for some time. Further they allege the gold is being used to artificially depress the price of gold.

Yes. Another thing is that seawater contains gold, a small fraction of the mineral content in there with the salt. All the gold in all the oceans would add up to about a cubic mile if it could be extracted. How much might be in the earth itself might scare even Michael Savage.

I am opting for paranoid fantasy. I am sure there is NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER, but the radio station I listen to has been running a heavy schedule of those “buy gold now before it’s too late” ads this week. I think everyone should own some gold, but there are so many other God-awful things going on in the world that I think this one is being drummed up.

Did u read the Greenspan article???...what do u disagree with in it?? it has to be accepted as a means of exchange and a convenient store of value...as an individual it’s easy to exchange gold for oil...not so east to exchange oil for gold...u hoard your oil and ill hoard my gold...ill keep my store of value in my pocket...where will u keep your barrels?
