How could a liberal be distraught over this election? It’s a win-win, for the most part.

Its a shame, none of the most conservative Republicans will ever see their names on the Presidential ticket

So you're claiming there's no difference between someone who's roughly in the middle (McCain) and someone who's way to the left (Obama)?

There’s a difference, sure. But ultimately the average of the current candidates will be in the 30s-40s on the liberal scale (using 2006 numbers).

For the same situation to be presented to conservatives (were the conservatism of the candidates reversed) would be:

* Mary Landrieu (D) on the Democrat ticket, and
* Mitch McConnell (R) and Graham Lindsay (R).

Landrieu isn’t the closest to compare - that would be Olympia Snowe. In other words, Landrieu MIGHT win, but we’d also have McConnell and Lindsay running hot campaigns while Landrieu would be attacked constantly from her own party.

And not to mention the 2007 numbers make it even better. We would have the likes of John Cornyn or Jim DeMint ligthing up crowds with an message of CHANGE.

Liberals have to be loving this.

No doubt!!!! Lest anyone gets confused, McCain is my LAST choice. But he beats Hitlery or ObombUs any day of the week.

We owe it to our troops that have sacrificed life and limb to keep the “cut and run” Dims far far away from the position of CIC. Even if that means holding you nose and voting for McCain.

If y'all think this is bad just wait for the next & the next election after that as the corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" sticks it to any voice of conservatism. That's what the sheeple want BAAAAH BAAAAh as they go to the voting booths. The silence & lazyness of the conservative movement allowed the commies to take hold of each segment of our lives. Enjoy the future.
