I cannot remember a genuine hero who response to questions with that answer. I have met and been around the following MOH recipients: Doss, Murphy, Boyington, Dolittle and a couple of others. I NEVER heard any of them respond that way. As a matter of fact it was very hard to get them to talk about their experiences.
