I am not for McCain and will vote on Tuesday for Romney, but the author is right. Should McCain be the nominee I will hold my nose and vote for him. I would never forgive my self if I would stay home in November, like so many freepers plan and therefor throw the election to Hillary or Obama

Bull Moose Party - Republican Teddy Roosevelt walked out of the Republican convention with his delegates.

This will happen in reverse with conservatives walking out and the Democrap will win.

...it's just as likely that a GOP defeat could turn us into a squabbling minority party that is out of power for years while the Left remakes this country in the image of Belgium.

Belgium I would not mind so much. At least they make a nice chocolate. I'm afraid it would turn out more like Venezuela.

This is McCain’s whole bet. People will hold their noses and vote for him because the alternative, 4 to 8 more years of Billary, is FAR worse. He knows he’ll lose some conservative votes. I predict only a small percentage woulde actually vote FOR Clinton.

I live in NY so my GOP vote doesn’t count. I can safely register my disgust should McCain get the nod.

WE will see, the MSM is already warming up the attacks on Mad John.

The author is correct, there are some reasons to vote for Mad John, there is also the fact that it is obvious that Conservatives don’t like the man, so his screw ups will be dumped on the moderate/independent voters and thusly discrediting Bipartisanism once and for all.

AGW taxes screwing up the economy? Conservatives were against it.

Higher taxes? Conservatives were against that as well.

Conservatism grew out of the Nixon/Ford era where bipartisanship reigned, this will be no different.

Be aware that the media and the democrats have always encouraged conservative blocks to turn on republican candidates. Such as all the stories that tried to paint Thompson as not pro life enough, etc.

McCain is a flawed candidate for real, but mixed in with the legit conservative indignation is a healthy dose of fifth colum "I'm so mad I'm voting for Hilary Clinton". We are about to be inundated with the usual interviews of "republicans" who have decided to vote democrat this time. Let's not be fooled by that one.

There are even more stupid Republicans who think a nut like McCain should be president.

I’m sick and tired of RINOs and will send my vote and voice very loudly to the once, but no longer, GOP. I refuse to allow RINOs to ruin this nation so will mark my ballot for the mark of the Hildebeast. The only way to wake the mamsy pamsy liberal RNC up is to give them exactly what they want and that’s liberalism to the max. After the nation has seen what that can do to then maybe, just maybe, we will have a true conservative running.

If God wants McCain to be our leader, He is perfectly capable of putting him in that position without my help.

I have openly stated that I would not vote for McLame if he is the GOP nominee. However, after further consideration, I can not take such an action against our heroes that are serving to protect our freedoms.

I simply can’t envision turning my back on our Military Men and Women.
