I just remember that after Reagan was out of the WH, that the “party” leaders would NOT defend Reagan tax cuts. It was the beginning of the RINOfication of the party. This has been planned. It is nothing new. I remember that the “party” pushed for these early primaries JUST SO THAT ANOTHER REAGAN could NOT get the nomination. This was planned. It is not a mistake.

50 million illegals are about to get the right to vote and pour into the country, go ahead, try, for me, I'm going to enjoy what's the left of the country, go camping, hiking before it's lost.

People always thought it would take some big battle for America to be lost, well, it happened over the past 6 weeks with hardly a wimper, and America went silently in the night, and don't forget, Bush's 8 years of doing nothing on the border has helped lead us here ... So, our own party failed us.

I think that your solution pushes things too far the opposite direction. Without moderates and independents, a candidate cannot win a general election and having no input from those groups can create a false picture.

Rules such as requiring that the first three primaries be closed, or that at least two of the first five be a state that gave the strongest support to the GOP candidate in the prior election, would create an appropriate balance, IMO.

To say I’m horrified to write that is an understatement.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

What is more horrifying is that McCain is crazy and he is NOT a conservative!

With at least one more chance to derail the McCain (DNC) BS Express next Tuesday.

Vote against McCain in February, or it won’t matter who wins in November.

You bet!

The MSM Republican is winning and conservatives are letting him win.

The Republican party didn’t commit suicide, it has been taken hostage by a smaller force with tactical superiority (better use of the MSM) aligned with Democrats. This insurgent group will wait until November to begin executing the hostages (the hostages will be useless for the agenda forward).

“To hell with the big tent! All non-conservatives get out of Dodge!”

I agree if its to be managed as we are doing now. But the big tent brings votes as long as they only have a minor roll in choosing the candidate that will be our standard bearer.

Conservatives are a minority in this country now

I don't think that is the case.

The majority of people in this country are hard working patriotic Americans that may never think in terms of liberal or conservative.

They are too busy making a living and struggling because of the massive spending of their tax dollars by politicians.

I think if you were to talk to them about their beliefs they would come off as conservative.

Just my observations.

Do you want a candidate that represents the honest members of the party or not?

I am SICK of hearing this spineless “we must present the people with our own socialist to defeat the other socialists” drivel!

Grow a spine and take a stand for something beside politics as usual!

I think this is the key sentence, "First, Republicans refused to unite behind any of the conservatives originally in the race. They were divided, and all of their candidates failed as a result."

The GOP started eroding when it became the party of “compassionate conservatism”.

A compassionate conservatives exists for no other reason than to be severely beaten by democrats.

I’m tired of getting the whippings, and until we get a real social conservative, who has the guts to be tough fiscally, we are all on the road to no where.

The BIG TENT is fine so long as newcomers adopt the ideas of the party they are joining. But when like illegal Mexican’s insist that American’s learn Spanish, it’s time for them to go.

This is Americas “conservative” party, not the RINO party. It’s time conservatives do a little house cleaning.

Democrats were very clever on this. Eliminating the conservatives in early voting in cross-over states. No way in hell should a liberal be allowed to vote in a republican primary!! This is how McLamo is in first place. Fade to the Twilight Zone. Rod Serling please explain!

Works for me...

We’ve been doing the opposite way and getting the opposite result. Want the opposite result, do it the opposite way.
