I wonder if the care of the baby might be the reason someone would want her out of the picture. There are certain governmental, financial benefits to those whose parents have died.

Whomever the guardian is of a child would get some benefits but it wouldn't be a large sum but it would be a continual basis. Whatever happened to the child's father? Did he give up his parental rights??? Maybe mom wants to keep the dad out of the picture for some reason or vice versa. I don't see this would be a million dollar baby unless outside groups are pressuring mom to end Lauren's life.

It's ridiculous that people can end lives based upon subjective reasoning. Whatever happened to right and wrong anyway?
