Immigration applications to be approved without FBI checks
Citizenship and Immigration Services will approve tens of thousands of green card applications before the FBI has a chance to fully investigate the applicants.
Ninety-nine percent of our name check cases are finished within six months, said Bentley. But then everything afterwards can take a few more months to a few years.
Terrorists recruiting on net via Facebook
RADICAL British Jihadist groups are using Facebook and other social networking sites to recruit members and distribute extremist literature.
A private Facebook group called Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, the name of a successor organisation to the banned extremist group Al Muhajiroun, has been operating since early 2007.
The Facebook group has links posted to extremist literature by the jailed radical preachers Abu Hamza al-Misri and Abu Qutada calling for the waging of armed jihad against the British and American governments. There is also literature demanding the expulsion of any Muslim who votes in elections or "provides assistance" to the 'kuffar', or non-believer.
By revolting here I mean armed revolt. This is because this will pave the way for sedition and indiscipline. As a result, perhaps blood might be shed, people might be killed, and houses and property might be destroyed."
This toolset provides groups like Al-Qaw-eda methods to securely transmit and wipe their files. Not that they havent had such tools in the past, but a second edition toolset demonstrates a software development lifecycle with some level of sophistication and planning.

BAGHDAD Coalition Forces found a large weapon cache in two separate holes approximately 30 meters apart in Diddum, Iraq, Feb. 11.
The cache contained approximately 1,000 pounds of unknown bulk explosives, barrels of ordnance containing 60 mm, 82 mm and 120 mm rounds, 107 mm rockets, OG-7, PG-7, OG-9, various fuses and mortar rounds.

Soldiers from 3-7th Inf. Regt. were able to find the cache through intelligence given from concerned residents in the area.
I will always tell Coalition Forces about any weapons hidden in my area that I know about, said Sheik Satar Naim Lalau al-Janabi, a local leader in the Diddum region. Hopefully insurgents will learn that they cannot find a place in Diddum to hide things.

3-1 Cav. Regt. seizes second EFP cache in three days
Multi-National Division Center
BAGHDAD Soldiers from Troop C, 3rd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment seized a cache of explosively formed penetrators near Jurf Nadaf, a village east of Baghdad, Feb. 10.
The cache was the second seizure of munitions in the village by Troop C within a 72-hour period.
Finding caches like this saves Soldier and civilian lives, and that is an important part of what we do, said Sgt. Kenneth Storts, from Corning, Ohio, a cavalry scout with Troop C.
The cache contained five EFPs, three rocket-propelled grenades, 28 grenades and various materials commonly used in the making of roadside bombs.
Soldiers were searching an abandoned home after a local resident informed them of the buildings use. While searching, Spc. Ronald Gardner, from Durant, Okla., found an infrared sensor. Infrared sensors are often used as triggers for EFPs.
At first we didnt know if it was hooked up to anything, Gardner said. That is when (Sgt. 1st Class Maxwell Donahue) told us to search the whole field.
It was during the search of the surrounding fields and nearby abandoned buildings that they discovered the cache.
On Feb. 8, Soldiers from Troop C seized a similar cache in Jurf Nadaf containing 13 EFPs and various munitions.
The 3-1 Cav. Regt. is assigned to the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division from Fort Benning, Ga., and has been deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom since March 2007.

“Israel worried Hezbollah will attack with bomb-laden drone”

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The defense establishment is concerned Hezbollah may use an explosives-laden unmanned aerial vehicle to attack a civilian or military target in northern or central Israel in retaliation for last week’s assassination of it terror chief.
The Israel Air Force has been placed on alert for such a possibility.
To date, Hezbollah has dispatched five Iranian-made drones against Israel, three of them during the Second Lebanon War in August 2006. Two were shot down by the air force, and one crashed. The drones were loaded with dozens of kilograms of high-grade explosives and apparently had been intended to crash in the heavily populated Dan region.
The IDF also has bolstered its forces along the northern border, anticipating Hezbollah may launch a massive rocket attack on the area. However, the army has no specific information about the group’s intentions in this regard. “

Justice lawyers have objected to the affiliation with ISNA, fearing it will undermine the case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development in Dallas.") (August 27, 2007)
