I had to keep quiet on this until KPHO ran it. Be ready to have your mind blown. And be ready to be pissed off.
Read it and watch the 3-minute video, too.

For those of us on low-bandwidth connections, perhaps you could paraphrase what went on?
I second that! :0)
Where at on the site?
ZZZZzzzzzz
What are we looking at BOB? Can you give us a little more info?
You can read the article without viewing the video.

We went undercover to 5 AZ GA airports within very short flying distances of the Super Bowl. Go to the link and read the piece then watch the video on the link. The GA aviation industry went nuts when we told them what we did and showed them the undercover film.
Wow!
Good job, Bob!
You are the counterterrorism consultant?
Yes.
I don't think anyone seems to care.
Clicked on your posted link. Which story are you hyping?

I started it back in 2001 on an undercover investigative report for 850 KOA. I am pleased others are following suit.
IMHO follow the money you will find the motive.
I bet Mr. Neumann the Security Expert would love a Consultant Contract to fix their problem after he pointed it out, gee who approached to TV station with this story, color me cynical....
We will have no pilots, in the future if access is made un-available so that the proverbial "airport kid" can come look around, and maybe get a job filling the tanks.
Many of these "kids" are now 1st officers flying for the majors.
The dumb-$h!+s who made this story have no clue that that is how it works... Beam me up Scotty, no aviation intelligence in the newsroom.....

It is a good overview of the lack of security at general aviation airports/strips, specifically in the Phoenix valley area. The team was able to drive on the areas or walk in, have access to the self-serve fueling points (credit card access), etc. plus they found several unsecured (unlocked) small aircraft. Apparently no one approached the team or questioned them during this test run of five different gen. aviation strips.
One is within eyesight of the superbowl stadium. The concern of course, is that some nutjob can access aircraft, fuel and launch a terrorist attack very easily. No cameras or other electronic surveillance were found at the airstrips.
Hope this helps.
What a bunch of drivel :( A small GA plane is about as dangerous as a motorcycle.
It is all about F=MA.
