Steve Forbes, the editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine and himself a former presidential candidate, announced his endorsement Saturday of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president.
Forbes had campaigned hard in Florida for former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, who dropped out after Tuesday’s primary.
Two other high-profile Giuliani backers — Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Solicitor General Theodore Olson — also have switched to McCain.
The backing by Forbes is the latest in a cascade of signs that a once-reluctant Republican establishment is embracing McCain, who could wrap up the party’s presidential nomination in three days on Super Tuesday.

I don’t know who else to endorse? John McCain whether we like it or not is the most conservative man standing. I dislike that result but it is the result we have. I hope for a brokered convention but if not McCain is going to be the nominee we can only hope for a good VP choice. If McCain wants to win he will make amends with conservatives who he has rush ed too quickly in the past to distance himself from for political gain with the media. He has clearly, starting with the Iraq war, been making amends. There is no one stronger or clearer on the War effort than McCain left in the race.
MSF, Sr. went gay too, according to a Fortune writer I met at a party shortly after his passing. Then there was the talk of AIDS, added to by the overly quick funeral processing.
Sad. Big disappointment. Supporting a crazy old senator over a proven manager that at least tries to do the right thing some of the time.

If McCain is going to support tax rate reduction, I want to hear him explain why he supports them. We all know what happens when tax rates are cut. But I’d like to here McCain say that revenues to the government exploded. If the man doesn’t have it in his soul to be a supply sider, I fear if given to opportunity to “comprose” with liberlas like Bush the elder did, McCain would do it. And whoever he hires to be on his economic team will be shown the door.
Hmmmm, I think there’s a word for this ... Oh yeah: “whore.”
I would rather it be his skull, but each to their own dreams. ;>)
Steve Forbes is realllly ugly and inherited his wealth. Romney is intelligent, handsome and made his money on his own. Everyone is jealous of him. I know how nasty jealousy works.
If any of you have teenage daughters, you know what I mean. Or, if any of you have worked in a company with lots of women...MEEOOOW.
I'm pretty sure he started out with a pile, small though, but what he has accumulated.
He did not take over his Daddy’s business like Steve Forbes did. He was recruited out of Harvard by Bain because he was one of the top five graduates from the business school.
He did not need his family’s money to achieve good grades. He was Valedictorian of his class at B.Y.U..
Maybe, but uber-RINO Ahnold knows that McCain is the biggest RINO in the race, making them natural allies, while Romney is frantically trying to save his candidacy by running well to the right of McC. Ahnold might have gone with Rudy, who was even left of McCain on many issues, if R. were still viable.
Well if there is one good thing about this traitor McCain, it is that he is flushing out all the RINO’s — from Rudy to Forbes to Arnold and all the others. Even if they win, this will be their swan song. May they rest in peace.

Oh God no. Now I have to cancel my subscription to forbes. I’ve got the limbaugh letter,to read and that’s about it.

First I heard of Forbes was when he announced his run for the Whitehouse in the Limbaugh Letter.
There was a great post a few days back, detailing the history of how the GOP fell from the glory of the Contract With America. A key fact was that old RINO bozo Bob Dole got Newt to back off from the confrontation with Clinton. Other key events were cited, like Bush the First's cave-in on taxes, and his assessment of supply-side econ. as "voodoo economics." It all boils down to this: the RINO-GOP career-statist establishment doesn't understand (in fact hates) serious governmental downsizing and reform. These guys are mentally mediocre dolts--the antithesis of Reagan, with his ability to cut through BS and visualize essentials then sell them to the public. They know only how to fiddle, fumble, and destroy. McCain and Romney are simply a continuation of that folly.
Well, good luck with that...at least Forbes shows you how to build wealth; the only wealth that Limpbull is interested in is his own!
I dont’ get it. I dont’ see any comments about Ted Olsen’s endorsement.
