Good morning, all...
...word of note: Fox is going to be running a special edition of FNS this morning, “Fox Super Sunday.” It will be on at 9 AM ET regardless of time zone... so if it normally airs at 10 or 11 where you are, and you tune in to see Shepard Smith’s face, that’s why. Shep will be hosting the second two hours.
Well, well, well... what do you know? The once reclusive Hillary Clinton is now all over the talk show lineup again, even on Fox =:-O. I guess she’s feeling more comfortable in front of the camera, or at least the shows are running out of talking heads. I’m sure the DNC is thrilled about her showing up for an interview with the “evil” Fox News that did that “hatchet job” on her husband Bill. (there’s some sarcasm there) It’s not like they’ll do anything about it, though— heck, they still won’t reprimand her for campaigning in Florida against party rules.
Also surprising this week is the fact that Huckabee has been relegated to Late Edition.
I see Meet the Press has another meeting of the Royal Council of Grand Poobahs this week, with America’s favorite husband-and-wife political rivals and Bob “0-for-9” Shrum. Maybe if Bob joins the campaign of the Democratic nominee this won’t be quite a hopeless case after all.
Ratings coming up.
NBC MEET THE PRESS.... 4,905,000 (32%) (- 291,000) CBS FACE THE NATION... 2,975,000 (19%) (- 37,000) ABC THIS WEEK......... 3,312,000 (21%) (+ 336,000) FOX NEWS SUNDAY....... 3,504,000 (23%) (+1,319,000) CNN LATE EDITION...... 873,000 ( 6%) (+ 248,000)Fox jumps to second! That's the big news out of this week's ratings. Buoyed by two back-to-back replays of Fox News Sunday on Fox News Channel last week (instead of the usual one), both with strong numbers, Fox News Sunday propelled past CBS and ABC to take second place in the talk show ratings this week for the first time since I've monitored the ratings.
