Although he needs to temper his criticism of Rummy and he needs to chance his stance on Gitmo and waterboarding.

He needs to drop that crap about Rummy completely. It won't get me to vote for him, but it is really tiresome and people react badly.

He won't change his view on Gitmo and waterboarding. He has argued on those issues passionately. He actually believes the things he is saying.

The way McCain goes after Rummy you’d think that Rummy got a promotion that McCain wanted when they were both Navy pilots or something.

I think the fact he was a prisoner of war himself colours him about Gitmo and water-boarding he fails to see we are in different times and we are talking about actions being carried out under strict control not torture for the fun of it.

On this I can appreciate where he is coming from and in a way respect him even if I think he not thinking straight about these issues.

It is other things such as his alliances with the democrats and voting against the Bush tax cuts etc that I find it difficult to take.

He can't control himself. On his best day, he's 1/10th the intellect that Rumsfeld is and it eats him alive. He hates Rumsfeld with all the passion of a jealous lover.

I love the fact that Rummy hasn't said a word in response. Even in his absence, the man exudes nothing but class and grace. Two traits John McCain will never be able to comprehend.
