Oh yeah. And here's another question I will pose. Does the fine, even-tempered McCain really think that the right wing talk show will, boom, just roll over and play dead oncit McCain gets this nomination? IE...does anybody really think that Rush or Mark Levin won't mention, say, the Swift boat slam?
Lookit, McCain's going to have withstand an onslought of almost EIGHT MONTHS of beatings by the conservative talkmeisters, unless they sell us out which could happen. I've already got one conservative columnist I caught carrying McCain's water. Be suspicious, folks. McCain has a lot of power he's gained in the years playing both sides against the middle.
There's also, ahem, the Keating 5...does anybody think Rush or damn....don't forget the Dems who love McCain but they don't want the guy to win the presidency. They just want him to get the nomination because they know they can beat him. But the Dems are gonna jump on this guy.
So all those traitorous pubbies who jumped on the McCain bandwagon, and we must include Rudy G now, will not be forgotten by the folks they betrayed.
McCain's gotta slough through seven plus months of constant beatings by his own party. He's not gonna survive. McCain's not gonna win.
Thus, in order to perserve this man's huge ego, the Republican party has essentially given up any chance at the highest office in the land.
You don't really think that Rush and Levin will be attacking McCain if he has the nomination, do you?
You have some excellent posts today about McCain. I don’t know about the motivation of the RNC part, but he isn’t going to get my vote for sure.
I can get a lot more enthused this year on why NOT to vote for all of these clowns than I can for supporting anybody. Just hope they can all hold each other down, go after each other, all of them look bad. Because that’s the way it is this year.
