BTW, McCain said during the first GOP debate that there would be "no fences, no barricades," on the border. He sure has turned away from that, hasn't he?
Also, when did Romney say on FOX News Battlefield Earth was his favorite book? I notice you don't have any date for that.

He’ll find out in the fall the real wrath of the conservative movement when millions of them decide not to vote for him. Voting for the lesser of two evils will not suffice this time.
I keep hearing about the huge turnout for Hussien Obama
and the dem party in general to vote in the primaries.
Okay, we recognize now that you are a member of J.M.s campaign staff. Obviously you have been assigned to “win” over conservative bloggers and conservative web site people. Enough already. We ain’t buying and we ain’t voting for the crazy OLD liberal backstabber.
Actually, The Dem media destroyed the competition that could defeat Clinton or Osama Obama such as Rudy or Fred and was cheerleading for Mccain. Any the Rhino branch of the party fell for it.
I didn't become a Republican until 1996, but I'd consider myself pretty thoroughly conservative (used to be a hard leftist). While it's true that Romney's votes may not have put him on a straight path toward conservatism, as a former liberal I find nothing unusual about that. Even when one comes to realize a certain position is right, it may take awhile before one is really comfortable supporting it.
In response to the question of whether there exist 'moderate' conservatives, that depends on some measure about how one defines things (e.g. is Prohibition II a 'conservative' cause?) Fundamentally, though, I would suggest that someone can be moderately conservative as a transitory state, but moderate conservatives will generally be moving either rightward or leftward. Romney I see as a moderate who's moving right. McCain is a former conservative who's gone so far left I would no longer consider him even 'moderately' conservative.
True, but it is his time in the Navy from 40 years ago the McCainiacs always hype.
It is true that the blacks and the women are turning out in droves. The white males were voting for Edwards, and you saw how badly he was doing. Too many of them were jumping ship to vote for McCain.
My neighbor is a Chicago raised Democrat. He was telling me that the last time he voted for a winner was when he voted for Kennedy. This time he voted for McCain in the primary, and won. I don’t think he’s ever voted GOP before.
“I know quite few people that left during the last Clintonista regime including my brother in-law.”
Are they famous sons of a famous liberal republican family that was weaned on politics, did their three term Governor father run as the anti republican candidate for president, were they 58 year old politicians that had an instant total transformation on many lifelong issues solely for this campaign?
Are they famous for running as a non Reagan republican and then recently claiming to be “the Reagan republican”.
All the hard fought conservative battles of the previous 40 years could not make Romney a conservative, and then he must of had a stroke or something because he became totally remade just recently.
“True, but it is his time in the Navy from 40 years ago the McCainiacs always hype.”
Even that misleads, it was his years in captivity and he and his fellow warriors return to America that is the focus.
“I didn’t become a Republican until 1996,”
These personal stories are nice but Mitt Romney is no ordinary Joe.
Don't you know? The Dean scream was a media concoction to take Dean out of the race. Dean showed signs he was too much of a maverick. He appealed to young socialists, the sort that send shivers down the spines of corporate elite who have vested heavily in the Democrat party -- the media, law corporations, lots of companies who sell national security to international markets.
The Dean scream will come in the general election once the elite have figured out who is in their best interest. If you think the Dean scream was all about insanity, you need too spend more time examining the crap the media throws at you.
Is that the photo where Palpatine changes into the Emperor?
There. I fixed it.
Good point — and the two worst almost-Presidents, Albore Jr. and Jon Cary, also served. Military service must be greatly respected in its own terms, but when someone chooses to enter the political arena then their ideas, proposals, policies, and character are on the line.
