It’s looking pretty clear now that the Romney organization is going to peel a lot of delegates from Georgia. The McCain people are not fighting effectively district by district.

The California poll out is powerful too.

Huckabee lacking money and organization skill is relentlessly grinding him under. He will do one of those bizarre “not running but running” where he has no money and buys no media and just funds personal travel a few places to show his face.

I hope you are right. You probably are. By the way, the poster, and everything else about Romney says “class.”

I expect Huckabee to be a presence too. There is a lot of identity politics. A lot of southern Christians will probably vote for Huckabee for that reason.

CA will really tell us a lot of things.

For one, Huckabee is really not a factor in CA. It really is for all intents and purposes a two man race between Romney and McCain. Romney supporters have argued that he would beat McCain in a 2 man race, well, Romney gets his chance to prove it in CA.

If Romney wins CA, it will not just boost his campaign, it would create further add credibility to his call for Huckabee to drop out, and also solidify the claim that “a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain” in the minds of voters who are deciding in all the states after Super Tuesday.

If Romney loses CA, then Romney’s claim that he would beat McCain but for Huckabee would ring hollow.
