On this Super Sunday, it's fitting I suppose that Mike Huckabee would be out there blocking and tackling for Team McCain. Appearing on this morning's Today show, the former Arkansas governor made a pro forma claim that he's still running for president and not the veep slot. But Huckabee certainly seemed to be acting as what Mark Steyn described in a recent Hugh Hewitt interview as McCain's "wing man."
Consider Huckabee's reply to a question from Sunday co-host Jenna Wolfe [a resident, coincidentally, of Chappaqua, NY, home to Bill and Hillary.]

To tell you the truth, I’m not happy with either Romney or Huckabee; Duncan Hunter was the only one I was enthused about.
Huckabee is soft on illegal immigration (but he claims to have changed his mind), and Romney forced Massachusetts citizens to buy health care, and wants a partnerhsip with Red China.
I am leaning toward Huckabee, but in my liberal state it doesn’t matter, anyway, because McCain is leading in the polls 2 to 1 over Romney, and probably more over Huckabee.
I kinda think you over-looked that last paragraph. Not good.
You are right about the Huck voters, but the MSM in our region (central coast ca) feature Huck's attacks on Mitt time after time. M Savage may be right that Huck is doing the bidding not of McQueeg, but working for the butt boys of the MSM because the MSM thinks that Romney's family culture would not favor gay marriage etc.
I already knew that and can’t stand the NEA.
As I said, I don’t care for the politics of any of them, and when I vote in the primaries, and the General Election, I will vote for the candidate who will do the least amount of damage.
I’m very upset that I have to do this, but that’s the way it is.
Lie.
Why post that to me? I don’t support Romney either. All three suck.
Process of elimination based on your tagline.
Ron Paul sucks, too.
Mike Huckabee picked up a glowing character endorsement today.
From CBS Evening News, Feb. 4, 2008.
“Mike Huckabee has been subjected to the millions of dollars of attack ads by Mitt Romney.....I think He’s a very good and decent man and I admire him. And I admire his humor and I think he’s elevated the entire presidential debate and campaign.”

That was the answer given when Katie Couric asked what the shortcomings of Huckabee were. The answer was quite the contrast to the same question about Mitt Romney. And who was giving this praise to Huck?
JOHN McCAIN! He went on to attack Romney with the usual unqualified sound bites and insulted Rick Santorum as a ‘defeated candidate’ who had no right to question his temper.

Yes, Paul doesn’t even deserve a mention because I don’t take him seriously. The reason McLame and Huskter are mentioned in my tag is because I absolutely LOATHE both of them, and will do everything I can to expose them for what they are- liars: McCain for pretending to be a conservative and believing he deserves the nod, and Huck for bastardizing Christianity for political gain- and being the biggest crybaby candidate I have ever seen in my life.
Yeah, lets just annoint loser McCain for the nomination./sar
Why even have a damn election. 42 states have yet to vote.

Staying in the race and pimping for another candidate is the most disgusting and sleaziest of all political maneuvers. Huck has lost any chance of running again in 4 years. Voters will remember. McCain will also kick him in the butt with a no thanks!
translation: Useful Idiot voters suckered to helping RINO McCain.
The only difference is Romney didn’t lie in his ads. Huck lies every day on the stump.
Gee, two candidates being civil to one another. Big deal.
I don’t support McCain or Romney, but will vote for either (if either gets the nomination) to keep the Hildabeast out of the WH.
Ann Coulter, is that you?
I LOVE you!
Nah, Ann gets her stuff from me. ;) I’ve been ripping these two for the past two+ months on a regular basis. Ann just joined the party. In fact, I think Rush, Ann, Sean, etc. have all followed FRs lead against McCain.
“The only difference is Romney didnt lie in his ads. Huck lies every day on the stump.”
Exactly!
