I agree. Let’s get rid of her NOW! I don’t trust the Clintons when it comes to November. They will pull every dirty trick and there will be rampant voter fraud.
I don’t think Obama has that kind of cabal of tricksters in place yet.

I think Romney would not turn off conservatives the way McCain will.
I also think Romney won’t inspire non-voters to come out and vote for him and then every single Democrat down the ballot the way McCain would.

I think Obama would have a similar effect.
I also think Obama would win the “independent vote” which is what’s supposed to put McCain over the top.

This all adds up to the GOP being routed in congressional races, and losing the White House, too.

So I don’t know if Romney would “light a fire under conservative to show up.” But I do know he won’t turn them off so much that they decided to stay home, and I know he won’t bring out people who will just vote for Democrats. This is what a McCain nomination brings. McCain is the anti-Republican Republican. He only appeals to people who dislike Republicans. He’s bad news for the party’s prospects. Very bad news.

Hussein Obama will doom America beyond repair.

Any combination of any current candidates will doom America beyond repair. Denying Hitlery her long expected throne will simply give me a smile while we're all falling through the chute.

I was speaking top to bottom also. With the sort of negatives that Romney has, it will be low Republican turnout that will be the culprit. A large percentage of the Social Conservatives will not go to the polls at all for Romney, and by the time the media turns on him, or McCain.

I'm supposed to vote tomorrow and for the first time in a long time, I'm thinking about not going. I tried to convince myself to vote for Romney. And maybe I still will. But I have to really motivate AGAINST McCain to do it.

Meanwhile, I don't see Mitt as all that impressive. Could he beat Obama or Clinton? I think McCain would beat Clinton but lose to Obama.

I wouldn’t worry about Romney’s “negatives”.
People don’t know anything about him.
These kinds of polls have more to do with name recognition and identity politics than the actual candidates.

Romney’s polling would completely change once he became the GOP nominee, and I think you know that.

Sorry but I can't agree with those who would rather run against the Clintons in November. While they may seem easier to beat on paper, they will stop at absolutely nothing to win. Absolutely nothing. I feel much more comfortable stopping them in the nomination process - which by the way will probably finish them forever. If they make it to the general and lose a close election, that just opens the door for them to return in 2012. However, if they get beat now, they are finished for good (with respect to the presidency).

If the GOP can get their act together and put up a strong, somewhat conservative candidate, they do not have a lot to fear with Obama. If it's McCain, all bets are off, but I'm hopeful that McCain will still be repudiated in the primaries.

Don’t even worry about the presidential race right now.
Just consider the congressional races.
If McCain is the GOP nominee, then conservatives will stay home, and McCain will only bring out “moderates” who dislike Republicans. No matter who the Democrats nominate, liberals will be out in record numbers to support Democrats.

We need a candidate who doesn’t turn away conservatives, and who doesn’t bring out Republican-hating moderates and independents.

McCain is a disaster for the GOP because of this.
At worst, Romney breaks even, and the damage from the Democrat wave is softened. McCain would actually help turn the Democrat wave into a tsunami, washing Republicans out of every office across the nation.

This is why you need to vote for Romney tomorrow. A vote for McCain is a vote against all of your favorite Republicans. A vote for Romney is a vote for them.

Anyone under 50 on Election Day 2008 has never voted in a presidential election without a Bush or a Clinton on the ballot - if she makes it.

That’s a facile reason, but there are many other reasons to want Mrs. Clinton to lose the nomination fight.

I do fear that Obama is the stronger candidate, though.

And the Republican field leaves a lot to be desired, to be sure.

We have to make sure to vote in as many conservatives down the ticket as possible, no matter what else happens.

“Oh, and I forgot to mention, all those ‘independents’ that McCain supposedly appeals to, are going to go for Obama.”

Not all, but certainly most.

Sorry, the local news Calif polls have Hillary ahead still .
Ca is tough place to conduct polls.
Whats Real interesting is the split in the Dem media propaganda division, the phony polls and non stop love-fest crap is now shifting to Osama Obama pot smoker candidate. Not even the Clinton News network can keep a lid on there internal split.

I disagree there.
If the Clintons go all the way to November and then lose there, then they will be blamed for losing a sure thing.
The Democrats don’t give you a second chance to run for president after losing, unless you are Adlai Stevenson.

The Democrats will blame the Clintons for their dirty racial politics against Obama. They will say Obama should have been the nominee, and they will rally around Obama as the new leader of the Democrat party, casting the Clintons aside once and for all. Bill will say “See, Obama wasn’t the Great Black Hope after all.”

If Obama is the nominee and he loses, then he will suffer the same fate as John Kerry. Kerry was the Democrat nominee and lost, and he has no power in the Democrat party. The Clintons have continued to hold the reins of power. If Obama is the nominee and loses, then the Clintons’ hold on power will remain unchallenged.

Just a couple of thoughts. First, is Obama too young to be the tyrant we know Hillary to be? And secondly, can we expect a Hillary Monday Surprise?

Lets just worry about not getting blown out of Congress right now.
McCain will turn a Democrat wave into a Tsunami.
He only brings out people who hate Republicans.
Everyone voting in November will be anti-GOP if McCain is the nominee.

Republicans need to keep that in mind before pulling the lever for McCain tomorrow.

men, Amen, Amen. You are right, my greatest fear is a McCain vs Obama match in which case Obama will likely be the White House occupant for years, certainly long enough with a Democrat controlled Congress to change the face of Our Republic basically forever. We will be relagated to a third world status for which there would be no recovery at least in our lifetimes
